USPS files holiday price hikes for Oct 4–Jan 17 on top of its 8% surcharge
USPS has asked regulators to approve temporary peak-season price increases on Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, Ground Advantage and Parcel Select from Oct. 4 to Jan. 17, 2027. Sellers shipping with USPS, especially heavier and long-zone parcels, will pay more this holiday season.
The U.S. Postal Service on Aug. 25 filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) of temporary holiday price increases for Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, USPS Ground Advantage and Parcel Select. Pending PRC review, the new prices take effect at 12 a.m. CT on Oct. 4 and stay in place until 12 a.m. CT on Jan. 17, 2027. No other products are affected.
