Canada's counter-tariffs on C$27.6B of U.S. goods take effect Sept. 8
Canada's 15%, 25% and 50% tariffs on U.S.-origin goods, including apparel, cosmetics, furniture, appliances and steel, start Tuesday. Sellers shipping U.S.-made products to Canadian buyers are most exposed.
Canada's counter-tariffs of 15%, 25% and 50% on C$27.6 billion of U.S. imports take effect at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8. Ottawa announced them on August 25 in response to the U.S. decision to impose a 50% tariff on C$27.6 billion of Canadian goods from August 22.
