Shopify moves Shop to Shop.com, adds per-product return windows
Shopify has moved its Shop app's website to shop.com after buying the domain from Market America, and launched return windows that can be set by collection, product or variant. From October 23, Shopify Tax will also tax return shipping fees on U.S. orders.
Shopify has moved the web version of Shop, its consumer shopping app, from shop.app to shop.com. The change appeared in Shopify's changelog on September 29, one day after Market America Worldwide announced it had completed the sale of the SHOP.COM domain to Shopify. The same day, Shopify added return window overrides, which let merchants set different return periods for specific collections, products or variants. A separate change taxes return shipping fees for U.S. orders from October 23.
