Google tests AI Business Agent in YouTube ads, adds UCP cart transfer
Google launched a US beta that lets YouTube ad viewers ask an AI agent product questions, and began rolling out UCP cart transfer so shoppers can finish checkout on merchants' own sites. AI performance insights also became generally available in five countries.
Google on Sept. 16 announced a set of shopping updates ahead of the holiday season: a US beta of Business Agent inside YouTube ads, a Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) option that transfers carts to a merchant's own website, general availability of AI performance insights in five countries, and new Merchant Center feed attributes.
