Whatnot cuts seller commissions with volume tiers, as low as 3%
Whatnot is moving to commission tiers based on rolling four-week sales, cutting rates for sellers above $15,000 while smaller sellers stay at 8%. Existing sellers switch on September 21, new sellers the week of September 28.
Whatnot announced on September 17, 2026 a permanent, volume-based commission structure that lowers fees as sellers' sales grow, down to custom rates as low as 3% for its biggest sellers. The new rates take effect September 21 for existing sellers, and new sellers move to the structure the week of September 28.
