Mobile conversion: where mobile carts die

Most stores get the majority of traffic on phones but a fraction of the desktop conversion rate. Read the mobile funnel separately, then fix the phone-specific friction: forms, keyboards, tap targets, speed, and one-tap wallets.

The mobile-desktop conversion gap hides in a handful of fixable friction points, but a blended rate masks it: a healthy 4% desktop can hide a broken 1.5% mobile. Split the funnel by device (the funnel-leak-readout method) so you see where phone shoppers actually bail, then run a mobile-specific audit: form friction and autofill, correct keyboard input types, thumb-sized tap targets, sub-2.5s LCP, and one-tap wallets (Apple/Google/Shop Pay). Verify every fix on a real phone, not a resized desktop browser.
